Bruny Island Accommodation: Best for Couples

Couples seeking Bruny Island accommodation are in luck. I’ve found some pretty amazing places that will make your visit to the island a one-of-a-kind experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime for you and your loved one!

1. The Nebraska Retreat

Perfect for: Couples looking for a luxe stay with sweeping water views

When my wife and I needed to escape our hectic jobs for a lazy weekend of rest and relaxation, we chose The Nebraska Retreat and didn’t regret it for a moment (all photos above are my own).

It isn’t the cheapest option on the island, but what you get is absolute luxury, surrounded by the soothing sound of gently crashing waves (literally 20m from your private deck), and jaw-dropping views across the channel to imposing Cathedral Rock.

The kitchen is well appointed, making it perfect for whipping up a quick or 3-course meal, but to be honest we preferred trying the many local options instead.

The beach at Dennes Point is wonderful for a walk at sunrise or sunset, and its sheltered waters are perfect for a summer dip for the kids.
