eBook #2 – Hobart Day Trip Planner

Are you wondering how to make the most of your limited time in Hobart?

Hobart’s small size makes it one of Australia’s easiest cities to explore, and all it takes is a short drive to find yourself immersed in some of Tasmania’s most beautiful natural attractions.

But at the same time, so many road trippers and cruise-shippers tell me how difficult they found the day trip planning process – because there are simply so many options!

I know when I go travelling with my wife that we love getting tips and advice from locals, as they know exactly which attractions are worth your time, and which ones can be missed.

I have been so fortunate to call Hobart my home for the last 20 years, and in my Hobart Day Trip Planner eBook I have captured my favourite places, so you and your family can have the best Hobart holiday ever

What you’ll get:

  • 80+ pages of easy-to-follow steps helping you make the most of every minute you have in Hobart
  • 3 × ‘Pre-made’ walking itineraries that cover Hobart’s best attractions (perfect if you just want a ‘set and forget’ itinerary with no planning needed at all)
  • 8 × ‘Self-drive’ itineraries for the perfect day trip outside Hobart
  • More than 100 options for building your own customised Hobart itinerary
  • 13 recommendations for the best Guided Tours of Hobart and beyond (including exclusive discounts I have negotiated with Tassie tourism companies)
  • Dozens of local tips and advice for getting around Hobart, renting a vehicle, maps of Hobart and surrounds, and plenty more!

Don’t waste your money

eBooks are becoming more and more popular these days, and I have noticed a few Tassie options popping up for sale across various websites.

We all love to promote Tasmania, but there are a couple of questions you need to ask to ensure you aren’t wasting your money and to help you plan the best holiday in Tasmania.

How up-to-date are the eBooks?

We get a lot of backpackers and caravanners visiting Tasmania, and many of them fund their travels by writing about their travels.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this at all (I’ve done it myself) but one of the things about Tasmania is that the tourism industry is rapidly evolving, and while their information may have been correct when they visited, there’s a good chance they could have visited 2 years ago and a lot would have changed since then. Even some of the big travel companies like Lonely Planet can only afford to issue occasional updates.

As a minimum, my eBooks receive an annual update, but as new information comes to hand it is common for multiple minor revisions to be issued very year. I’m also very happy to send through an updated version at no extra cost – simply send me an email and if there is a more recent version then I’ll forward you a copy.

Are they written by a local?

Together with my wife I have called Tasmania home for more than 20 years, and we are always road tripping our way up, down, and around our own backyard.

Of course, there are many big attractions, sights, and tours that everyone knows about, but there are plenty of little tips and tricks that only a local can discover – especially when it comes to the logistics of planning your road trip route, vehicle rentals, and accommodation.

It is this unique Tassie perspective that I love to share with you in both my eBooks.

I am always seeking feedback!

If you finish your travels and think there is an aspect of either eBook that can be improved for other travellers, I’d love to hear from you by email at andrew@lapoftasmania.com.au

I am always looking for new ways of helping visitors to plan and enjoy their Tassie holiday, and I look forward to incorporating your feedback into future versions of my eBooks.

Are these paper books?

What I am providing here isn’t a traditional travel book. Instead, it is a digital download that you can save to your mobile phone (easy access when driving Tassie or walking around Hobart!) or any other electronic device like your laptop, tablet, or home computer.

After making your purchase you will receive an email that includes links for the two eBooks and a link for the Holiday Planner spreadsheet (don’t forget to check your ‘spam’ folder, just in case Dr Google thought it was a good idea to send it there ).

Simply click on the links and choose where you would like to store the documents, and it will then download the files to your device of choice. All you need to do then is open the file, or you could copy the file to your other devices if you feel that would be useful.

The eBooks read like a normal book on your device. However, one of the advantages of an electronic file is that it also includes links to attractions, tours and tourism operators. Click the links with your mouse, or tap the links with your finger, and it will take you to the operator’s page where you can learn more and make your booking!

Print your own paper copies!

I would love to provide hardcopy versions of my eBooks, however the publishing process is very costly and I want to ensure my eBooks are as affordable as possible for every single visitor to Tasmania.

One fantastic and cost-effective solution is to save your eBooks to a USB stick and to take it to Officeworks. There, you can arrange for colour copies to be printed and you can also get them spiral-bound with protective covers front and back.

For just a few dollars you will have your own paper copies to keep in the car, and where you can make your own travel notes!

14-day money back guarantee

I have received nothing but fantastic feedback from thousands of happy travellers all around the world, but if that’s not you then don’t stress – just get in touch within 14 days at andrew@lapoftasmania.com.au and I’ll provide a full refund of the purchase price.

Supporting Tasmanian charities

$1 from every sale is donated to a Tasmanian charity chosen by the Lap of Tasmania community. We have already donated more than $6,000 to charities such as Bonorong Wildlife Rehabilitation, WildCare Tasmania, and the Save the Devils campaign – and with your help I look forward to continuing to support these amazing organisations and the work they do.
