Cool, turquoise waters sparkling in the sunlight? Pure white sand, squeaking between your toes? Salt ‘n’ pepper speckled boulders, splashed in red?
This is the Bay of Fires, easily one of Australia’s most beautiful beachside destinations – and it’s a lot less crowded than you might expect.
This chain of beaches, bays and coves stretches all the way from Binalong Bay to Eddystone Point, and the best place to stay to make the most of this paradise is nearby Beaumaris Beach Guest House!
Stuart and Judy have created a wonderful place from which to base yourself for exploring up and down Tasmania’s sun-drenched east coast.
St Helens and the iconic Bay of Fires are just a few minutes up the road, while the sunny escapes of Scamander, Falmouth and Bicheno are waiting just a little further to the south.
This multi award-winning bed and breakfast has everything you could possibly need for the most relaxing stay, including what I consider to be some of the most contemporary, locally-sourced breakfasts to be found at a B&B anywhere in Tasmania.
Every spacious room at Beaumaris Beach Guest House is subtly infused with contemporary beach decor, and I know you will love the beautiful, original artworks hung in the rooms and common areas. The lounge and its cosy wood fire is always a very popular place for guests to come together at the end of a day of exploration, sharing tips and travel stories.

Every Tassie road trip should include the stunning east coast, and for both comfort and convenience I can’t think of a better place to stay than Beaumaris Beach Guest House.

"A very comfortable and homey guest house! Stuart and Judy made sure that our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. The guest house was superbly clean, and well organised with a beautiful and relaxing environment. The garden is full of fresh flowers and the local wallabies visit daily. After a great night of sleep with calming beach waves as our background, the breakfast was delicious and healthy. We enjoyed our stay and are so happy that we found this little gem on our road trip. Highly recommend to everyone!"
